Another super easy recipe using “crocky” (my pet name for my crockpot.) Set it up the night before and place in the fridge overnight…plug that baby in the next morning…dinner when you get home from work! Big TADA!
1 cut up chicken, cleaned and skinned(if you want)
1 small onion, chopped
3 cloves of garlic. I throw them in peeled, but whole
1 28oz. can crushed tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste
2 c. red wine. You can substitute water, chicken or vegetable stock.
1 tsp. each dried crushed basil, oregano and sugar
2 bay leaves
pinch of salt and crushed red pepper flakes
Place onion, garlic and chicken in slow cooker. Add liquids and seasonings. Stir. Cook on low 8-10 hours
*You can even use jarred sauce if you have it in your pantry. Just make sure you have about 32 oz of sauce and make sure to add the 2 c. of liquid.
Serve over rice or pasta and enjoy!
